Everdown is the second game type I’ve added to Dungeonsports. It is currently in play testing, but has been successful so far, and I expect that it will become a regular part of our programming. Much like Dungeonsports Coliseum, Everdown is a regularly scheduled D&D 5e game and stream on Twitch. Similarly, the game is designed to support the ability of players to drop in and out, and give me the freedom to support varying numbers of players in each session.
How is Everdown Different?
Everdown focuses on dungeon crawling. Trapped in a dungeon, the adventurers discover the secrets of the dungeon to survive, learn where they are, an find a way to escape. As they move ever downward, deeper into the bowels of this immense structure, are they moving closer to freedom, or just further away from where they started? Monsters (both classic and new) traps, and environmental hazards block there way.
I’m currently working on ways to create more audience interaction for Everdown. I’d like to be able to have the audience interact by helping shape the story. I’m currently exploring how to best implement this ways that will improve the story, or at least not hinder it.
