The rejuvenation trait allows a creature to revive if it hasn’t been disposed of in a way that would prevent it from doing so. This is useful for nuisance monsters that you want to keep returning to a location. It’s even better for your Big Bad that you’d like to return from dead with a grudge.
Here’s the text for rejuvenation from the Flame Skull stat block:
Rejuvenation.
If the flameskull is destroyed, it regains all its hit points in 1 hour unless holy water is sprinkled on its remains or a dispel magic or remove curse spell is cast on them.
D&D5e Basic Rules
Flame skulls are pretty dangerous, but they’re not going to be a big villain that ties your whole campaign together. A lich also has rejuvenation and is a great candidate for the role.
Creatures That Have Rejuvenation:
Now that you’ve got a rejuvenating villain, your players are gonna need some magic weapons!
