Do you need some new monsters, but aren’t ready to cough up the dough for the new Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen? D&D beyond has a little amuse bouche for you, 11 monsters from the book for free! There’s some really cool stuff in there: undead, giants, a dragon and a Dragon Highlord!
You get the dream eater, an aberration that can use a bonus action to restrain and blind a creature by entering its space and surrounding it in a “miasma of its worst fears”. You’ll also get Ember, a red dragon with a breath weapon that prones targets along with the fire damage. Anything that gets reduced to 0 HP by the breath is also reduced to ash.

If you are looking for a Dragonlance though, that’s over in Fizban’s Treasury of Dragons. Just taking a first look at the items in the new book, you don’t get much. If you’ve been dying to give your character a Kender Hoopak, now you’ve got it. With that Hoopak equipped, I hope Ember is nearby to teach you the error of your ways. Kender are the worst, and their weapons are dumb.
